What Families Are Saying

Almost every day, we receive thank you notes and cards from the families we’ve served. Each of these heartfelt messages means more to us than we can express here, because it affirms the fact that we are doing what we set out to do when we opened the doors of Skyvue Funeral Home: help families celebrate, honor, and memorialize a loved one with compassionate attentive care, and thorough professionalism. Take some time to read their words – and learn that, every day, we exceed expectations.

Name: Diane

Message: We wish to thank everyone at Skyvue for taking such loving care of our beautiful daughter Jessica. She looked just as if she were sleeping. It was a beautiful final farewell. We were treated respectfully as was Jessica. Our viewing the day before the funeral was in a pretty, quiet room. There was no pressure to buy extra services and we were even told the casket we chose was more expensive.I highly recommend Skyvue to anyone.

Message: In reference to the July 7th post by “Jennifer”: This was a direct cremation and no “viewing” was to have taken place as in keeping with the wishes of the deceased and arranged by me as his surviving spouse.
Skyvue was kind enough to allow for an unexpected and brief final farewell for the immediate family. They were very accommodating when the number of family members grew to include nine people. Robert was very careful to advise that due to the condition of the body a “full viewing was not prudent and possibly disturbing”, and he let us know exactly what we could expect. I fully agree with and appreciate his professional assessment and his repeated cautionary warnings.
When the viewing demands became excessive and tempers flared-the staff remained professional and maintained the best possible decorum. I am appreciative of the “extra mile” SkyVue went to in order to comfort a grieving family and would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

Message: I will never use this place ever again and will not suggest anyone else use it either. They are all about business and do not care about the fact that people may have just lost a loved one. Most of the people were nice, but a few in particular were rude. Also, our viewing was in some kind of utility room rather than in a private area. My father was not cleaned up for viewing or anything. And during the viewing the staff was very rude. This business ruined my goodbyes with my father.

Message: A Simple Hug
by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr

There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart;
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part

A hug's a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through,
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you 'cause you're you

Hugs are meant for anyone
For whom we really care,
From your grandma to your neighbor,
Or a cuddly teddy bear

A hug is an amazing thing -
It's just the perfect way
To show the love we're feeling
But can't find the words to say

It's funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good;
In every place and type,
It's always understood

And hugs don't need new equipment,
Special batteries or parts
Just open up your arms
And open up your hearts

***I will miss your hugs, Cathy***

Message: When I think of funeral services, what I received from you was so far above, there was care, love and a true servant's heart. I will always be so grateful for the care and espcially your attention to detail for my husband at a time when emotions were so overwhelming for me.

Message: It has been 3 years since my Mother passed (June 11, 2008)...and on behalf of my Family...we cannot thank Claude & Daniel Estes, Jo Carol Dugger, Robert and other staff enough for the love and compassion that they showed to our family when our Mom...passed suddenly in her sleep. We were so sad and hurting....she had 8 children, lots of grand-children and great-grand-children. She was the glue that kept us all together....her legacy lives on in all of us. We feel very blessed that Mom had made the decision and informed all of us of her desire to be buried at SkyVue Memorial Gardens. She told me that she made that decision, because they were like family. She was so right...even 3 years later...they are still like family. I love to visit my Mom's grave each week...and many times they have stopped and given me an encouraging word...or just ask if everything was OK. The Estes Family and Staff are an amazing goup of people...so full of love and compassion and just what a person enduring this loss needs. My Family has purchased a corner of plots that surround our Mom's grave...and recommend without hesitation...the services of Skyvue Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Thanks again....and God Bless Your Family....on behalf of the Freida Snodgrass Family...

The funeral was beautifully done by Chris Jones. I would recommend Skyvue and Chris Jones without hesitation.

Message: We decided to hire Skyvue to handle the arrangements for my nephew, Michael Robinson, and it was the best decision we could have made. The staff was so kind and helpful and their genuine sincerity in helping the family will be remembered forever. Chris helped us through all of the arrangements and even officiated the ceremony for us and did not want any compensation, saying it was an honor to do this for our family - how often do you EVER hear something like that from a funeral home. Thank you, Chris, you did an outstanding job and we thank God for you.

Name: Debra Neale
Message: After helping my husband and mother-in-law for a month with her mother, I was very protective of their feelings. We were all a little raw. I had no need to worry.

Chris was very kind. He made sure my mother-in-law knew when her mother arrived and walked us through the process like we were his own family. I can't imagine being in better hands.

When we need this service again, I have no doubt who I will go to.

Message: My only son passed away in July 1998 at the age of 28 and at his burial the Estes Family provided lemonade, ice water and their presence on a day when the temperature was 106 degrees, my out-of-town relatives were impressed. Each time I visit my son's grave the area is well taken care of. I would encourage everyone to trust their loved ones to Skyvue. Thank you.

Message: I just wanted to take a minute and post a quick note to anyone who has lost a loved one, this is the most wonderful place you could ever find to handle your arrangements. They take the time to walk you through the process of planning a funeral and have the upmost respect for you and your loved one. After dealing with the staff, Jo Carol, Chris and Claude when my brother in law passed away, my husband and I decided to buy a plot there and are doing a pre-arranged funeral through them. It is a great comfort to me to know that these loving people will be handling my arrangements after I pass and I know I will be treated with as much respect in death as I was in life. I cannot say enough about these fine people. They are just truely wonderful caring people. From the time of the first phone call even into the present I am fortunate enough to call these people a new extension of my family. ALL MY LOVE GUYS!!!!!
