ARLINGTON -- Joe William Abbott Jr., 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of your choice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe W. and Lois L. Abbott; and sister, Verdy Mae Rhoades.
Survivors: Loving wife of 60 years, Clematene "Tootsie" Abbott; children, Denise Goff, Merlynn Bays, Bart (Diane) Abbott; son of the heart, Joe "Doc" Kemp; sister, Barbara Abbott; grandchildren, Darla Kemp, Joshua (Carrie) Bays, Blake Abbott, Lanie Abbott; great-grandchildren, Emily Reed, James Abbott, Abigail Bays; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
