Adams Cortez, Sr., 87, a retired surgical technician, has peacefully gone to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Adams was born on May 21, 1937, in Malakoff, Texas. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas as a child. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and music. Adams was a drummer for a Tejano band in his younger years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Magdaleno and Nicolasa Cortez; all of his siblings, Sebastian, Alphonso, Moses, Antonio, Eva, and Minnie.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Cortez; his son, Adam Cortez, Jr. and wife, Hazel; his daughters, Eva Granado and husband, Albert, Irene Cortez, Yvette Castillo and husband, Joe, and Judy Menchaca; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends.
The Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, and Heart to Heart Hospice, who provided exceptional care.
