Juanita Griffin Auberry

Juanita was the daughter of the late John Arlin Griffin and Ruby Faye (Hudson) Griffin.
She graduated from Axtell High School in 1950.
Juanita married Bobby George Auberry Sr. on August 2nd, 1951. They moved to San Diego, CA until he finished his military service, then lived in several different places before making their home in Crowley, TX in 1973. They both resided there until Bobby passed away on April 21st, 1987 and Juanita remained in their family home until her death.
Juanita worked for CISD until her retirement at the age of 70 years old: She was the cafeteria manager for Sycamore Elementary for 21 years where she loved cooking for all the students, her work family and the maintenance crew.
She was also an active member of the Crowley Food Service Association.
Juanita was a member of Turning Point Church in Ft. Worth, TX where she loved attending with her family.
Juanita’s joy in life was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports. Her most memorable trip was to London, England with her brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby Griffin; brothers, Richard and Freddy Griffin; sister Johnnie Faye Hastings; her loving husband, Bobby George Auberry Sr.; son-in-law, Rocky Martin Sr., daughter-in-law, Vickie Auberry; great-grandson, Khalil Boyland.
She is survived by her two children, Bobby Auberry Jr. and Traci Martin both of Crowley, TX; grandchildren, Jeff Auberry and his wife Nikki, Brandy Vesper and her husband Jeremy, Rocky Martin Jr. and his fiancé Jessica, Ashlea Flores and her husband Juan, Crystal Boyland and her husband Joseph, Rusty Martin and Sarah Hagood; great-grandchildren, Nicole Hernandez and her husband Rocky, America Boyland, Carson Martin, Isabella Flores, Brooklyn Boyland, Sophia Flores, Peyton Martin, Noah Flores, Violet Martin, Bowen Martin and Ethan Auberry; sisters, Joretta Bryan and her husband James, Eula Chapman and her husband Bobby; brother, Cecil Griffin and his wife Dale; three sister-in-laws, Joyce Griffin, Bobi Griffin and Monnie Rust; numerous nieces, nephews and so many loving friends.
She was known to all that loved her as “Mamaw”
