Avis Louann Batts

Louann Batts, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, lost her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Sunday April the 6th at the age of 68. She was born in Fort Worth Texas on August 13, 1956. Louann grew up in Mansfield Texas and later moved to Burleson Texas to raise her family.

She was a source of unwavering strength and kindness to all that knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Love defined her and she lived by it. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was strong and courageous and was never afraid of a challenge.

She had a passion for riding horses, dogs, raising cattle, gardening, cruising the high seas, and her kids and grandkids. Louann loved to make others laugh. She was always the life of the party.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Sam Batts; daughter, Brandi Hawpe-Ratliff and her husband Shaun Goodwin, and son Josh Wuistinger and his wife Kenna Wuistinger; and stepsons Michael Batts and Sam Batts Jr. and his wife Jessica. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Austin and Kenzie Ratliff, Conner Ratliff and Jenson Smith, Devon Wuistinger, Hunter Wuisinger, Abigail Batts, and Walker Goodwin, and three great grandchildren. Additionally, Louann is survived by her sisters, Edwina Milam and Darlene Cole; and her brother and his wife, Douglas and Debbie Cogburn.

To celebrate her beautiful life a memorial service will be held at Skyvue Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday April the 25th at 5pm. 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, Texas 76063. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia Foundation in Louann's Honor.

Rest in peace, Louann. You were loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all.
