Barbara Biggs Dean

Barbara Biggs Dean passed away March 9, 2025, at the age of 83.

She was born on a beautiful September 10th day in 1941, in Chula Vista, California to William Eldon Biggs and Thelma Lee Jordan Biggs. Barbara graduated high school and was a secretary for many years. In Cedar Hill, Texas, on June 24, 2023, she married Victor Spellman. Barbara was an outgoing and vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest. She loved to create things by crafting and sewing, getting out in nature with hunting and fishing, tending her gardens, cooking meals for her loved ones, and going out and shopping. She was also an award-winning cat breeder and showman.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ray Dean; son, Michael Stanley Dean; grandson, Brett Michael Dean; mother, Thelma Lee Jordan Biggs; father, William Eldon Biggs.

Those left to remember and cherish Barbara's memory are her husband, Victor Spellman; son, Jeffrey William Dean and wife Carmen A. Dean; sister, Norma Jean Swearingen; grandchildren, Hollie E. Bangura and husband S.L. Bangura, Brittany N. Stech and husband Stetson R. Stech, Alisha H. Dennis and husband James Dennis, Jeffrey Brannon Dean, Donald Trey Jameson and spouse Amber Jameson, Jeffrey Taylor Jameson and spouse Lauren Jameson; great-grandchildren, Staysia Rose Bangura, Jordynn Bangura, Journee Bangura, Chevi Stech, Boone Stech, Bentley Dennis, Mason Dennis, Baby Dennis, Baby Jameson; special family and friends, Annette Davis, Johnny Layton; and a host of other family and friends too numerous to name.
