Nelson Lee Bascom, 92, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
Visitation: 6-8 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Skyvue funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Life Fellowship Church of Kennedale, Tx.
Burial: 9: 15 am Monday, February, 24, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas TX.
Nelson attended Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible Institute in Waxahachie, TX, graduating in 1951. He was an ordained Pastor for 32 years at Assembly of God Churches. He was a member of General council of Assemblies of God and Rocky Mt. district of the Assemblies of God. Nelson also worked for 14 years in the high school department of Daysprings Christian Academy of Lake Jackson, TX. and Asst. Pastor of Cornerstone Worship Center.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Melva and Earl Bascom; daughter, Beverly Bascom Kellogg; brother, Robert Bascom; sisters, Marjorie Lockwood, Jean Gipson, Patsy Comish and Reba Spencer.
Survivors: Wife, Betty Bascom of 69 years; daughter, Dianne Logan and husband Charles; sister, Betty Haire;grandson, Ben Logan; granddaughter, Kenzie Carcich and husband Ken; great grandchildren, Evangline Carcich and Maddox Carcich.
