Walter Marion Beayrd went to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 2 AM. He was at the blessed age of 90 years old. Walter resided with his loving wife of 70 years, Thirza M. Beayrd in River Oaks, Texas before going to Marine Creek Nursing home.
Visitation: 6-8PM Monday, September 17, 2018 at Skyvue. Service: 2PM Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Skyvue. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
Walter was born on May 8, 1928 in Ofuskee, OK. He was a beloved pastor, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Walter married his wife Thirza on October 17, 1948 in Mountain Pine, AR. During his life, he successfully raised a family, was born again, became a pastor and went on to own his own church, “Full Gospel Holiness”. He was a devoted pastor and had a passion for spreading God’s word and helping anyone and everyone in need.
He and his wife traveled all over, participating in revivals and hosting some of their own right here in River Oaks, Texas. Walter had several talents and hobbies such as hunting, fishing, playing guitar and the harmonica, working on cars and many more. Walter was tough and stern with those he loved, but he was exactly that because he loved.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Thirza; sister, Louetta Clemmons; children, Judy Beayrd of Aurora, Co, Kenneth Beayrd of Fort Worth, Tx, David Beayrd (wife Debbie Beayrd) of River Oaks, Tx, Cindy Thompson (husband Larry Thompson) of Watauga, Tx, Donny Beayrd (wife Charlean Beayrd) of River Oaks, Tx; grandchildren, Glenn Burnam, Melissa (Kevin) Dollarhide, Lavelle Burnam, Ellen (Troy) Kusmaul, Tammy (Stephen) Decker, Jason Beayrd, Christopher (Jenn) Burnam, Rebecca (Jacob) Jordan, Joshua Beayrd, Kristal Beayrd, Kenny (Amanda) Beayrd; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
