Brandon Wayne Bennett

January 6, 2007 — December 27, 2024

Burleson

Brandon Wayne Bennett of Burleson, Texas departed this life December 27, 2024, at the age of 17. Brandon was a Junior at Burleson Centennial High School where he made many friendships.

Brandon was born in Fort Worth, Texas January 6, 2007. He was raised by his parents, James Bennett Jr. and Chloe Bennett in Burleson.

Brandon was very athletic and enjoyed playing football, baseball and hunting. He was a true leader on and off the field. He loved music, singing, dancing, and just bringing people together.

The best part of Brandon is just simply everything about him. You could not have asked for a more phenomenal kid with all the best traits. His sense of humor was unmatched; whether it was dancing around and singing at the top of his lungs without a care in the world, or playing practical jokes on anyone he was close to. For Brandon’s entire life if anyone was looking for him, you always knew to just look up and you’d find him. His competitive side stopped at nothing to win at anything he did. Brandon excelled in everything he put his mind and heart to. But his greatest trait of all is how big his heart was and how much he cared for everybody. He made everyone feel welcomed no matter if they fit in with the crowd or not. When you jumped in the truck with Brandon, he would tell you if you showed up with him, it’ll all be alright. And that’s just how Brandon made you feel, that it’ll all just be alright. That’s how he brought everybody together. During Brandon’s life, he lived to the absolute fullest, even when pushing all the limits. Like the time when he sent his dirt bike over the pro jumps he had no business on, totaling out his bike and ending up with a concussion on his own birthday. Or the times he would jump off of the roof of the house into the swimming pool. And you can’t forget the time he threw a can of compressed air into the bonfire. When he made you laugh, you always laughed the hardest and when Brandon loved, he loved with his whole being. More than anything, Brandon had the deepest love for his sister, Samantha. From the time that they were little, they have all ways been inseparable. Even when they fought with each other, no one was allowed to disrespect her and he always made sure of that. When it came to his dad, his dad was his everything, his hero, and let everybody know. He looked up to him, learning all the chivalrous traits and moral compass from him.

We find comfort in knowing that Brandon knew Christ and gave his life to Him in the summer of 2023. He and his family attend Southcliff Baptist Church which has been there to guide and comfort the family during this unimaginable tragedy.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his great-grandparents, Kenith and Laura France and his faithful companion, Bruce.

Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his parents, James and Chloe Bennett; sister, Samantha Bennett; brothers, Brendan and Connor Borden; biological mother, Deidra Putman; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please make donations for a community tribute put together by his classmates in honor of Brandon’s memory.
