Marieta Irene Trader Buckles, 86, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2016 in Mansfield, TX. Marieta was born in 1929, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Richard and Fay Trader. She was raised by her mother in Pampa, TX. On November 4, 1951, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Buckles. Together, they raised four children. During the early years of their marriage, Bob’s career as an engineer took them all over Texas and Oklahoma. They moved to Midland, TX, in 1976 where they spent their remaining years together. Each summer, they could be found vacationing at a small campground community in the mountains of Ute Park, NM, where they made many memories and met many lifelong friends. In 2011, four years after Bob’s passing, Marieta moved to Mansfield where she has resided for the last five years.
Marieta was a sweet, caring, and affectionate woman. She enjoyed spending time with family, visiting with friends, researching family history, playing games, and painting. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her three sons, David Buckles and wife Karen of Fulshear, TX, Greg Buckles and wife Susan of Mansfield, TX, Stephen Buckles and wife Erna of Austin, TX, and one daughter, Judy Jordan of Roswell, NM; nine grandchildren: Mark Buckles, Carol (Buckles) Brower and husband Carl, Brad Buckles, Sarah (Jordan) Henneke and husband Aaron, Drew Jordan, Tyler Jordan, Katherine (Buckles) Serber and husband Dan, Robert Buckles and wife Conner, and Joseph Buckles; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Brower, Katherine Brower, and Ara Buckles.
