Burgers, Lois Mae (88) passed away peacefully at James L. West Community hospice of Texas in Fort Worth on July 13th, 2014. Lois Burgers will be deeply missed by all who new her.
Lois Mae Burgers was born on March 08, 1926 in Calvert, Texas to the late John D. Leonard and Belzora Massey. She will be sincerely and deeply missed by her family and friends.
She received her education through the Fort Worth Public Schools.
Lois married the late T.J. Burgers on February 1, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas. Where they were co-Owner's of the Famous Chicken in the Basket Cafe for over forty years. She began working for the Hudson family in their private home. She accepted Christ and was baptized at a early age she united with The North Ebeneezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Mitchell. Where she was a faithful member for over sixty years. Her warm personality, passionate heart and her generosity throughout, always helping the less fortunate in the community. Lois is proceeded in death by both parents John D. Leonard, Belzora Massey, Step-Mother Gladys A.C. Leonard, Grandparents Bennie & Cora Massey, brothers Jimmie & Julius, sisters Claretha Peterson, Essie Harris, Gertie M. Hair.
Those left to cherish her memory are Daughter Birda M. Turner, Sisters, Vivian, Melba, Sophia and Glady

Great-grandchildren ShaToya Dixon, Mia Turner, TyJuan Turner Jr.
Great-Great grandchildren Teresa , Calvin, Kevin, Shamonica and Shadae, and a host of nephews, nieces & friends.
Resting at the Skyvue Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on July 18th at 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held in Skyvue Victoria Chapel 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd. on Saturday, July 19,2014 at 11:00am, interment Skyvue Memorial Gardens 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd..
