David Craig Campbell

October 25, 1958 — September 25, 2020

David Craig Campbell, 61, departed for his heavenly home on Friday, September 25, 2020 in Burleson, Texas.

David was born October 25, 1958 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to George and Kae Estes (Vandiver) Campbell. David and his sister Debbie Bright were raised in Arlington, Texas where they attended school.

Throughout his life David was known for his many talents including his love for construction, the outdoors, fishing, racing dirt bikes, cooking, and his many fur babies that he had throughout the years (especially his Weimaraner, Gus). For over 20 years he worked at Coreslab Structures, and took great pride in ‘changing the Texas skyline’. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, usually with his favorite beverage, Kentucky Deluxe, close by. He was known for his sense of humor and larger than life personality. David was a funny, witty, hardworking, strong-willed, caring and compassionate son, grandson, husband, father, papa, and friend.

His mother and father preceded him in death as did his adored grandparents, Alfred and Lavica Estes, and Alex and Mary Campbell.

David is survived by his loving wife Melissa; son Ian Campbell, his wife Samantha and children Alissa and Aron; daughter Kristin McElvain, her husband Ryan and children Grayson and Parker; stepdaughter Chelsey Walters, her husband Drew and son Waylon; stepson Justin Tolar, his wife Ande and daughter Lily. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and precious friends.

Special thanks to the nursing staff and physicians that have provided care and compassion for David and his family during this time.

Visitation will be held at Skyvue Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10am-12pm, followed by a short service. Please attend in casual attire, as David would not have wanted it any other way. A reception will be held at the Campbell’s residence (305 Dudley Ln. Burleson, Texas) to share memories and the wonderful legacy that David left behind.
