Charles “Eddie” Park, 79, of Arlington, left this Earth on May 28, 2024.
Eddie found joy in his family, golf, Dr Pepper, and TCU football.
Eddie was born on November 13, 1944, in Hobbs, NM to Dorothy and Woodrow Park.
Eddie established his life early on in Fort Worth, Texas and attended Polytechnic High School where he excelled as an athlete in both football and boxing before graduating from there in 1963. Eddie was also a member of the Golden Gloves Boxing Club.
Eddie married Jeanie on February 21, 1964, and together they raised 3 children, Ken, Tiffany, and Cobie. Eventually, Eddie and Jeanie would divorce, and Eddie married Jan on September 20, 1996.
Eddie worked for General Motors where he was a highly respected and accomplished UAW Committeeman for 40 years, before retiring in 2004.
Eddie was a dad, a Papaw, an avid golfer, THE Thanksgiving turkey fryer, a hard worker, and a follower of Christ amongst many other things and his presence here will be missed greatly by those who loved him.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Woodrow Park; his son, Kenneth Park; his sister, Pat Harkcom.
Eddie is survived by his two daughters, Tiffany Morgan and her husband Sam, and Cobie Coble and husband Chad; his former wife, Jan Park; his stepsons, Cole Philips and wife Pam, and Kris Phillips and wife Stephanie; his siblings, Rusty and Dewayne Lewallen, Dalton and Dolores Park, and brother in law, Robert Hernandez; his grandchildren, Taylor and Jade Rogers, Dustin and Kayla Rogers, Dakota Park, Corey Park, Lindsi and Austin Nobbe, Kallie and Nolan Moore, Katie Johnston, Mackenzie, Bethanie, Clayton and Darcie Phillips; his great-grandchildren, Grayson, Josephina, Brett, Tinslee Grace, Tynslee Skye, Layken, Parker, Hudson, Adelynn, Juliette and Blake, as well as many other friends and loved ones.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, June 6th from 6-8PM and the Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 7th at 11AM at Skyvue Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery in Mansfield, Texas.
