David Chavez Jr., 57, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
He was born on a chilly day in November 1965, to mother, Cecilia Chavez Gonzalez and father, David Chavez Sr. in Plainview, Texas. As he grew into the man he was known to be today, he met and fell in love with Martha Lydya Hernandez. He officially made her a Chavez on April 8, 2000, in Arlington, Texas. He was a hardworking man and was in the pest control industry for 30 odd some years. He was a member of St. Barnabus United Methodist Church in his spare time. Nothing was more special to him then the love he had for his wife, Martha and his children. Except for one thing, his precious granddaughter Kya. David had a big heart and loved people. His smile was known to be contagious once you were in his presence.
David is preceded by his father, David Chavez Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Lydya Chavez; daughters, Audrey E. Chavez, Abigail N. Chavez and Justin O'Neill; sons, David Andrew Chavez, Servando Hernandez Jr.; mother, Ceclia Chavez; sister, Anna F. Chavez and Ricardo Torres; brother, Sam and Rochelle Chavez; grandchildren, Kya Ximena O'Neill; nieces, Bella Chavez, Faiola Nava, Kayla San Angelo; nephews; Sergio Nava, Aaron Acosta, Issac Nava, Samuel R. Chavez; special family, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hernandez, Raquel and Sergio Nava and many more loved family and friends near and far.
In lieu of flowers, the Chavez family would like donations to be made the American Diabetes Association.
