Chester Joseph Bullard

May 28, 1982 — December 11, 2024

Chester Joseph Bullard, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Born on May 28, 1982, to Rick and Diane Bullard, Chester grew up in Godley, Texas, where he formed bonds and friendships that would last a lifetime. His childhood was one of simple joys and timeless memories—dedicated parents, nightly family dinners filled with laughter and stories, the camaraderie of siblings, the spirit of small-town sports, and the freedom of exploring the neighborhood with what would become his lifelong friends. He enjoyed high school sports, excelling in basketball and baseball. Chester’s upbringing was the foundation most can only dream of, and it shaped the man whose presence enriched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Chester’s heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jordan Nicole Bullard, and a deeply loving father to his son, Chester Joseph Bullard Jr., lovingly called Chet. Chester and Jordan shared countless joyous memories. Their bond was one of unwavering love and mutual admiration.

During Chester’s battle with cancer, Jordan’s care was a testament to the depth of their connection. With gentle kindness and strength, she stood by him every step of the way, speaking to him with tenderness and ensuring he was comforted and aware in his final days. Her compassion and devotion were extraordinary—a true model of love and caregiving that serves as an inspiration to all. We should all be so fortunate to have someone like Jordan by our side.

Chester attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he developed a love for Red Raider sports that endured throughout his life. He was a devoted fan, often attending games and celebrating the spirit of his alma mater.

A talented and dedicated salesman in the oil and gas industry, Chester excelled in his career for over 20 years. His success stemmed from his genuine care for others, along with passion and knowledge of the industry. He prioritized his customer’s needs and built strong personal connections, always offering a listening ear. His coworkers admired his positive energy, ability to keep the room laughing, and unwavering support, which made him an integral part of any team he joined.

Chester was a man of great passions and an even more significant presence. He loved the game of golf and was a proud member of Mira Vista Country Club, where he cherished the camaraderie and community as much as the sport itself. One of his all-time favorite joys was coaching his son Chet in sports, instilling lessons and values that Chet will carry for a lifetime. Chester was also a lover of BBQ, always eager to try new restaurants, perfect his grilling techniques, and share his culinary creations with friends. Whether on a fishing trip or around a grill, Chester’s vibrant storytelling was a highlight for everyone around him. His tales, though often lengthy, were captivating, and their endings always left a room laughing or reflecting on life’s poignant truths. With his ever-present smile and unfailing politeness, Chester’s warmth and genuine nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Chester was deeply committed to his faith, family, and community. He attended Hulen Street Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Over the last 4 years, he volunteered at Neighborhood Needs, selflessly giving his time to serve others. Even as his health declined, Chester expressed sadness that he could no longer volunteer as frequently as he wished, embodying his generous and giving spirit.

Chester was devoted to guiding Chet in life and teaching him proper lessons on being a young man of good character. Chester fully embraced life with his family, creating beautiful memories through vacations, road trips, and cruises. His resilience and determination to fight cancer while making every moment count was genuinely inspiring.

Chester’s legacy is love and unwavering devotion to those he cared about. He will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him. The impact Chester had on everyone will enrich their lives forever.

Chester was welcomed into Heaven by many beloved family members.

Chester is survived by his wife, Jordan Nicole Bullard; his son, Chester Joseph Bullard II, and Chet's mother, Crystal; his parents, Rick and Diane Bullard, of Godley, Texas; his siblings, James and Miranda Bullard, Elizabeth and Eddie Sheppard, and Adam Bullard; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
