Chris Wayne Bennett

Chris Wayne Bennett of Arlington, Texas was called home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2023, at the age of 64.  Chris was born to Richard Wayne Bennett and Carol Margaret Bennett (Allen) on November 24, 1959, in Pittsburg, Kansas.  He married Peggy Lynn Bennett (Kelly) on August 7, 1980, at Ridgecrest Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  Chris worked for Johnston Products of Dallas after farming in McCune, Kansas.  He was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ.  His hobbies were reading, hiking, and watching the “Cowboys” football games.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Carol Bennett as well as his two sisters Lisa and Lori that were twins that passed shortly after birth.

Those left to cherish his memories and continue his legacy include his loving wife, Peggy Lynn Bennett; daughters, Holly Lynn Bennett (Griffin) and Aaron Griffin; son, Luke Christopher Bennett; sister, Julie Bryant (Kevin); brothers, Steve Bennett (Laura) and Scott Bennett (Lisa); grandson, Jairus Apollos Griffin; nieces, Whitney Jones, Hilary Kelly, Katie DeMaggio, Christy Biby, Tracy Rader, Christine Pendry and Danielle Sowell; nephews, Patrick Kelly, Brian Kelly, Andy Kelly, Jeffrey Kelly, Jason Kelly, Todd Bennett, Travis Bennett, Trey Bennett, Kyle Bennett, Daniel Bennett, Zach Bryant and Caleb Bryant.
