Cletus "Skeet" Granville Wood has passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 98.
Cletus was born on January 8, 1926, in Joshua, Texas, to Virginia May Garner and William Albert Wood. He married Joy Floy Knight on August 30, 1947, in Joshua, Texas. He worked for Bell Helicopter and General Dynamics on the assembly lines. He was a member of the Arlington Moose Lodge and the VFW. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and baseball. He was a DIE HARD Texas Rangers fan.
Cletus served our country as a US Army Paratrooper in World War II for four years.
Cletus is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and William Wood; his oldest son, Kenneth D. Wood, and his wife, Lillian Diane Wood; his grandson, Kenneth G. Wood; his brother, Orville Wood; his sisters, Betty Wood, Eva Allen, and Treva Brannon.
Cletus is survived by his wife of almost 77 years, Joy Wood; his daughters, Judy and Benny Bement, Pat and David Robinson; his son, William and Cathy Wood; his ten grandchildren, Kanetha, Brian, Ray, Wil, Billy D., Kelly, Stephanie, Brandon, Ashley, and Mandy; his twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cletus will be inurned at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.
