John Cummings

John Wayne Cummings was born September 5, 1955 in Fort Worth Texas. At the age of 18 he joined the Navy and got to travel around the world and see many places. He ended up in the Philippines where he met a young lady named Lolita Gahoy. They fell in love and got married in Fort Worth, Texas by John's brother Larry Cummings on January 21, 1983. On June 19, 1983 they had their first daughter Valorie M Cummings, and on August 27, 1986 they had a second daughter name Karen G Cummings. After traveling around the states for a few more years, John and Lolita decided that he should retire from the Navy. After 20 years of service they decided to move to Virginia where he raised his daughters. He worked many jobs and went to school at the same time to keep a roof over his family's heads. John retired from work altogether and lived the way he wanted to, with his daughters, his dog Romulus, and his TV. John started having health issues in his late 40s early 50s and it eventually caught up to him before he could turn 61. His family stayed by his side as God called him home on April 5, 2016 at 05:32 am. John was preceded in death by his parents, John Earl Cummings and
Valorie Cummings; his brother, Lonnie Earl Cummings; sisters, Gloria Faye Stephens and Karen Michelle Cummings and he leaves a host of loving family and friends to cherish his memory.
