James Leslie Daugherty, 71, of Mansfield went to be with Jesus on February 24, 2017. James was born on July 2, 1945 to Horal Leslie and Laura Lee Daugherty. He loved the Lord and loved to spend time with his children and granchildren. He was a retired truck driver, and an avid toy collector.
Preceded in death by parents Horal and Laura Lee Daugherty, sister Marie Pope, and granddaughter Kayla Lee Daugherty.
James was survived by his wife Dorothy Daugherty of 50+ years, sisters Wanda Burks and husband Billy, Cherry Scribner and husband Brad, his children Rena and Curtis Garrison and Floyd Daugherty, Grandchildren Kristin and James Meirose, Joshua and Britney Garrison, Dejanira, Justin, and Sierra, Great-grandkids Abigail, Oliver, Camden, and Annabelle.
He was a great man, husband, father, and papa. He will be missed by many.
