On December 1st 1981, in Odessa, Texas, James David Dean and Paula Charisse Alexander Dean were blessed with a baby boy they named Adam. After a 5-year battle with leukemia, God ended his suffering and took him home from Dallas, Texas on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
A visitation will be held for Adam Monday, May 2, 2022 from 12:00-2:00pm at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas in the Chapel. Immediately following, a graveside service will be held at 2:00pm in the cemetery, Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, Texas.
As a young boy, Adam was always catching crawdads or snakes, playing with cats, dogs, lizards or whatever creature that happened to cross his path. He had no fear of animals of any kind and bonded with many throughout his life. Adam had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh and enjoyed laughing along with others. He had the ability to imitate people and sounds and would always get many laughs with his impersonations. The love he had for animals was only lessoned by the love he had for his children, fiancé, family, and friends.
Adam enjoyed the outdoors and was able to find his happy place when surrounded by nature. He loved to hunt, play video games, and watch the Dallas Cowboys play football but his real passion was fishing. Adam was an expert fisherman and could catch many fish when everyone else would not even get a bite. He rarely kept any of them but would become excited every time he had one on the hook. Each time he caught a fish you would think it was his very first time. When reeling it in, he would always get a huge smile, become very animated, and revert into his inner kid.
Adam was preceded in death by his infant daughter Emily, his mother, Paula, 3 cousins- Mark, Jacob, and Zane, and his sister in-law Jennifer.
Adam is survived by his sons Conner and Rylan, his daughter Brynlee, his brother Eric, his sister Amanda, his step mom Diana, and his father James. Adam is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, both of his grandmothers, friends, and the love of his life, Becky.
Becky remained by Adam’s side throughout the good and the bad. Becky and her sons Nathan and Shane with Shane’s wife Kaitlin, her daughter Hayley and her husband Josh, along with Becky and Adam’s grandchildren Greyson, Karlie, and Tailor, all helped provide Adam with the love, support, and strength he needed to keep up the fight for so long. Becky’s love for Adam was undeniable and she willingly defended, protected, and cared for him until his last day.
Adam was also blessed to have the unwavering support of his long time friends Phillip and Samantha who were always there for him and let him know what the meaning of true friendship really was.
