Ladies and Gentlemen, family, and friends,
We gather today to honor and remember the life of Dingly Ogbodu, a beloved husband, father, colleague, and friend. As we reflect on his life, we remember a man whose love, dedication, and sense of responsibility touched each of us in unique ways.
Dingly was a devoted Christian who lived his faith every day. He was a man of unwavering principles, guided by the teachings of Christ, and this was evident in how he treated those around him—with kindness, patience, and compassion. He believed in the power of love, humility, and service to others, and he carried those values into every aspect of his life.
As a husband, Dingly was a pillar of strength and devotion. He was deeply committed to his wife, a true partner through the ups and downs of life. Together, they built a home filled with love, joy, and respect. His loyalty and care for his family were unmatched. As a father, he was the epitome of dedication—always present, always supportive, and always guiding his children with wisdom and love. He took great pride in their accomplishments, and his greatest joy was seeing them grow into the wonderful people they are today.
Dingly was not just a family man, but also a professional who loved his work. At Dallas Behavioral Health Care Hospital, where he spent years of his life helping others, he was more than just a colleague. He was a friend, a mentor, and a source of comfort to those in need. His work in mental health was more than a job—it was his calling. He had a genuine passion for helping others heal, and his commitment to his patients was a reflection of his deep compassion and desire to make the world a better place.
Dingly’s presence at work was a testament to his professionalism, his skill, and his empathy. He knew that healing the mind and spirit was just as important as healing the body, and he gave himself fully to his work, providing care and understanding to those who needed it most. His colleagues knew him as a man who could be counted on—steady, reliable, and always willing to go the extra mile to help someone.
Today, as we say goodbye to Dingly, we also celebrate the life he lived—a life filled with purpose, love, and service. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and dedication that will continue to inspire us all. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the lessons he taught us about how to live with kindness, grace, and integrity.
To his family, we extend our deepest sympathies. Please know that Dingly’s love for you was boundless, and his legacy will live on through the impact he made on each of your lives.
Dingly, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith. We will miss you dearly, but we rejoice in knowing that you are now resting in the peace of our Lord.
May your soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
