Alma Lou Dockter gained her wings on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the age of 82 in Burleson, Texas. Alma was born March 29, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to E. Vanbrunt and Amanda Marie Loveless. She married Wilbur Dockter July 12, 1985, in Nevada. Alma worked for General Business Services as office manager for 10 years in Fremont, CA before retiring in 1992 and moving to Texas.
Alma enjoyed Camping and traveling. She loved going to Winstar. But most of all she loved spending time with her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Alma & her husband were members of the VFW and enjoyed attending events there as well as play Bingo.
Memorial Service: 11am, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Skyvue Victoria Chapel.
Alma is preceded death by her sons, Rick Bailey and Kevin Bailey; bonus daughter, Cheryl Dorpinghaus; youngest sister, Carol Gallegos of Arlington, Texas.
Alma is survived by her daughter, Dena Butterbaugh and her husband Terry Butterbaugh of Burleson, Texas; bonus son, Glenn Dockter of Idaho; sister, Ellen Turner and husband Bob Turner from San Pablo, CA; brothers, Bill and wife Marcia Vanbrunt from Martinez California and Tom and wife Barbara Vanbrunt from Placerville, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas & Jessica Bailey, Kristyn Milthaler & Jason Jr., Vanessa Quidor, Brian & Asley Dockter, Melissa Dorpinghaus, Rick & Shalin Butterbaugh, Michael Butterbaugh and Haylee Blackburn; great grandchildren, Cooper, Audrina, Luke. Adrianna, Nicko, Layla & Raylynn. Sal Jr, AbbyGail, Avery. Brentley. Penelope & Elvis, Jason Jr.; and many more loved family and friends near and far.
