Lewis Dye passed away suddenly on Sunday May 6, 2018. Lewis was born on July 30, 1951 to AJ Dye Senior and Evelyn (Bowie) Dye in Lubbock, Texas.
Memorial service: 6 pm Friday, may 18 at Skyvue Victoria Chapel.
Lewis grew up in Fort Worth, Texas where he enjoyed participation in various athletics. His main sport was baseball. He played the sport as a young boy and continued throughout high school. He was a member of the very first Southwest High School Baseball team. He was known as a standout pitcher and was courted and received offers by several professional teams. By choice he turned them down and stayed in Fort Worth and played semi-pro for several years.
In college he received a degree in the field of Radiology. His expertise was in Computed Tomography. He spent forty years serving in that field and most recently at Medical City Las Colinas in Irving. He enjoyed golfing during his free time.
Lewis was preceded in death by his first wife Susan (Arveson) Dye and both parents.
Survivors: Wife, Beverly Dye;Sons, Mason and Spencer Dye; Stepdaughter, Courtney Wilson (Bruce Morris);
Stepsons, Justin Lackey (Jenny), Collin Lackey (Courtney); Grandchildren, Tanner, Chase and Dax Wilson, Cannon and Elise Lackey, Anna, Benji and Mary Lackey, Jordan, Barron, Brandon and Taylor Morris;
Sister, Sharon Bubeck (Billy); Brother, AJ Dye Jr; Sisters in law, Barbara Milton, Kathy Stevens (Chester)
Brother in law, Phillip Milton (Laurie) ; Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and hosts of friends.
