Mrs. Earnice Butler entered this world on April 1, 1935 in Forest, Mississippi to the late parents of Mr. Elie Pinkston and Beatrice Hornsby.

Earnice attended E.T. Hawkins.  She dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1975.  She was employed at Steiner Corporation in Chicago, Illinois for 40 years.  Earnice enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoyed gardening and thrifting.

She was first married to Lonzie Lee Wilson on January 9, 1953 where they moved to Chicago, Illinois and had seven kids.  Later she met Scott Butler Sr.  They were married March 1, 1975 and had three kids. 

Earnice departed her life on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her home in Alvarado, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lonzie Lee Wilson; sisters, Katherine Payton (James), Merle Spivey (John); brothers, Lee Earl Pinkston (Callie), Troy Pinkston (Merlene), Bobby Jo Pinkston, Willie Ray Pinkston (Laie); children, Ernestine Ford (Walter), Louise Wilson (Otis); grandchildren, Rodney Wilson, Deborah Foster, Ramon Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Anthony “Ace” Wilson, Johnny Wilson; son-in-law, Christopher Godfrey; a dear special friend, Sister Ora Ross.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 48 years, Scott Percy Butler of Alvarado, Texas; four daughters, Beverlyne Wilson (Johnny), Deborah Brownridge (Luther), Annette Godfrey, Cassandra Pettis (David); four sons, Jamie Wilson (Vanessa), Dedric Wilson (Gustavia), Scott Butler (Daphne), Steven Butler (Charlotte); two brothers, Albert Pinkston (Shirley), Roy Pinkston (Joann); A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

We, the family of Earnice Butler, would like to thank each of you for the prayers, calls, visits, tributes and many other acts of kindness and love shown to our family during our bereavement.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.
