Lonna Easter, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Graveside service: 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Everman Cemetery, Everman TX.
Lonna grew up in Fort Worth, TX where she completed school. Lonna and her former spouse, Bill had two children together, Darren and Gina, who they adored. She was a certified executive secretary for Miller Brewing, a job she enjoyed, for many years. Eventually, Lonna and her husband, Bob Easter, tried their hand as business owners when they opened a bicycle shop which they ran in the evenings for a number of years. After retiring, they sold their bicycle shop and the couple moved to Rockport, TX where they bought a
sailboat, joined a yacht club, and took up sailing. Lonna and Bob traveled together to many places, by air, land, and sea, having adventured through almost all 50 states and numerous countries. She scribed the tales of her many adventures and cataloged the photographs meticulously. While she lived in many places, from Odessa to Fort Worth, to Ruidoso, to Corpus (to name a few), Lonna made every house feel like a home. Lonna loved reading her novels and bible, she also had quite the green thumb and kept her home
filled with beautiful plants and flowers. She was the most thoughtful, loving, and considerate daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend you could ask for. She knew off the top of her head every child,
grandchild, family member, and friend's birthday and anniversary, and not once did she miss sending a card and gift to celebrate them. We are all lucky to have had the opportunity to have shared in Lonna’s life with her
and we love her dearly.
Lonna was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ocneta Forrest; brother, Joel Forrest and step-daughter, Teri Easter.
