Ernesto Torres

Ernesto "Neto" Torres, born on July 9, 1961, in Del Rio, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Mansfield, Texas. He was a loving and caring person whose family meant the world to him. Ernesto's life was marked by his strong character and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Neto graduated from Del Rio High School and then spent the majority of his career working at NU Vans Electronics, where he eventually retired as a supervisor. His dedication and hard work were evident in everything he did. Colleagues respected him for his leadership skills and ability to inspire others.

Outside of work, Neto led a fulfilling life filled with hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a deep appreciation for music and could often be found contently listening to his favorite songs. In his pastime time, he cherished moments spent with his family, creating memories that will never be forgotten. He also always enjoyed sitting back and watching an old western movie. 

Neto Torres was a special individual who touched the lives of those around him. His kindness, compassion, and strength were the defining features of his character. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. 

He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Lidia G. Torres.

Neto is survived by his cherished family members: his oldest daughter Julianna Cecelia Casillas; youngest daughter Sarahi Isabella Flores; oldest son Justin Christian Torres and his wife, Aurora (Mendez) Torres; youngest son Marco Eduardo Torres; brother Jose Angel Torres; mother of his children Rosa Gabriela Buenrostro; oldest niece Trisha Ashley Casillas; youngest niece Lilianne Mariah Casillas; oldest nephew Walter Anthony Casillas; youngest nephew Alfred Jeremiah Casillas. He also leaves behind his loving cat and dog, Ichigo and Chiquis, who brought him comfort and companionship.

To honor and celebrate Ernesto's remarkable life, visitation will take place on September 5, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Skyvue Funeral Home located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, Texas. This will be followed by a Funeral Service starting at 5:00 PM. These events provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to support one another and reminisce about the beautiful memories shared with Ernesto.
