William Walter Fink

William Walter Fink passed away on Saturday, October 14th, 2017, in Mansfield, Texas.
Funeral: 2 pm Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Skyvue Victoria Chapel with visitation to start at 1 pm.
Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.

Bill was born on August 14th, 1933, in Martinsville (Morgan County), Indiana, to Carl Sylvester and Kathleen Leitzman Fink.
Bill lived his early life in Martinsville before moving with the family to Gary, Indiana, for his dad to work in the steel mills. Bill graduated from Froebel high School in 1951. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy (7/9/1951 – 6/15/1954) as a signalman on the USS Irwin. His ship was hit and went to Japan for repairs; while there he was able to spend some time with his older brother Wayne, who was servicing in the Air Force. When he returned to Gary, he married Janell Hendrix in February 1955. To this union were born 3 children and they lived in Valparaiso, IN in a home that Bill had built. The family later moved to Orlando, Florida, where he worked in the construction of Disney World. The family then moved to Texas, where he worked for the Arlington School District. Janelle passed away in 1992.
Bill felt very blessed to meet Marilyn Vernon, and they married in 1983. Through this union Bill was blessed with 3 additional daughters. Bill and Marilyn enjoyed their life together camping, shopping at Wal-Mart, traveling to Maine during the summers, sports (he especially liked college football), their church and their families.
He is preceded in death by his wife , Marilyn Fink; parents, Carl and Kathleen Fink; sister Betty Pierson; brothers, Rev. H. Wayne, Conrad, Hughie, his half-brother Kenneth, and as well as a daughter, Candie Stewart.
He is survived by his children, Lynne Butler and husband Mark, Sonny Fink and wife Nina, Laura Fink , Debbie Drew and husband Bob, and Kelly Reagan and husband Brad; son in law, Terry Stewart; grandchildren, Heather Garcia and husband Mark, Kenneth Fink and wife Shannon, Scott Butler and wife Laura Mata, Anthony Fink and wife Christin, Jason Fuoss, Courtney Moore and husband Matthew, Amanda Hood and husband Alex, Bradley Stewart, Aaron Drew and husband Greg, Cody Stewart, Diana “Mickie” Hall and husband Patrick, De’Essa Henderson, and Ana Ariciaga; great grandchildren, Tyler Fink, Carly and Lizzy Gomez, Cameron Fink, Samantha Yaeger, Ethan Roberts, Trey “Mark” Garcia, Bryan Parks, Mason Garcia, Mari Parks, Mattingly Garcia, Adalyn Butler, Everett Moore, Arabella Hall, Walter Fink and Alexis Fink; brothers: Glen, Richard and wife Carol, Rev. Harry and wife Barb; sister, Doris Ann Barron ; sisters-in-laws, Beverly and Ethel .
