Narvis Gates, 85, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Pavilion at Creekwood in Mansfield, Texas.
Service: 10:00 am Friday, June 15, 2018 at Skyvue Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday at Skyvue. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
Narvis was born Nov. 15, 1932 to Joe and Barbara (Alexander) Gates in Marianna, Arkansas, the second oldest of 11 children.
He owned and operated a Lawn and Garden business for over 40 years in Helena, Arkansas until his retirement in 1999.
He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Narvis is survived by a sister, Mae Gates; brothers, Granderson Gates and Tommie Lee Gates; nieces, Mary Newman, Louise Risper, Queen Brown and Amy Robinson along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
