Jo Lynn “Red” Gauntt, 83 years old, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 11, 2021.
Born in Mart, Tx on September 22, 1937 to parents, Orval & Lila Mae Gauntt.
On June 27, 1958 he married the love of his life Barbara Rivers and soon relocated to Ft. Worth for a job that he dearly loved and proudly served at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. They soon relocated to Everman, Tx where he was highly involved in youth sports as a coach & umpire of baseball and softball during his free time away from work. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 39 years.
As a graduate of Mart High School, Jo Lynn was an avid fan of Mart’s High school football program as well as, dove hunting, trot line fishing, gardening and his wife and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leldon Gauntt.
He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, son Mike Gauntt, daughter Beverly Ford, grandkids and two great grandsons.
Visitation to be held at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Tx on Wednesday, March 17th from 6:00 – 8:00pm to be followed by a graveside service at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Prairie Hill, Tx on Thursday, March 18th at 1:00pm.
