Glen Ray Russell

Glen Ray Russell was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Crowley, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on August 7, 1941, in Loudon, Tennessee, to Hoyte Russell and Penny Alexander, Glen graduated from Technical High School and earned numerous college certifications in various industrial fields. He proudly served in the US Army, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Glen later worked for General Motors in Arlington, Texas, where he retired after 25 years. On January 29, 1971, he married Joan Carter in Fort Worth, Texas. Glen was a devout member of Liberty Church in Kennedale, where he found solace in his faith.

Glen is reunited in Heaven with those who preceded him, including his parents, Hoyte and Penny, and his two sons, Dorian and Randy Russell. He is remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Rick Chaney. Glen's memory is cherished by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan Russell; his sons and daughters-in-law, Chase and Joella Russell, and Brad and Jennifer Russell; his two daughters, Adoree White and Holli Gonzales, along with her husband Rene. He leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom were touched by his boundless affection and wisdom. Glen will be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends.
