Christine C. Gonzales, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Church Service: 10:30am Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mansfield, Texas.
Interment: 2:00pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

She received her education at Texas Women's University and also continued at Southwest Texas State College. She took great pride in her many years of substitute teaching across the Arlington School District, especially helping younger children with English as their second language. Christine was also always a devout woman; she attended the International Women’s Bible Study for many years She was dedicated to her faith and devoted to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gonzales Jr.; father, Santos Cantu; mother, Maria Cantu; sisters, Carolina Trevino and Carmen Searles.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Melba Garner and husband Don of Arlington, Shirley Matthews and husband Steve of Fort Worth; sons, Alfred Gonzales of Fort Worth, Michael Gonzales and wife Kelly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends who she considered her family.
