Johnny Charles "John" Gregory

John C. Gregory, of Joshua, Texas, formerly of Killeen, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 59.

Celebration of Life Service: 12:00pm Friday, April 15, 2022 at Boulevard Baptist Church, Burleson, Texas.
Interment Service: 3:15pm Friday, April 15, 2022 at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

He was born on September 15, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Tony Gene Gregory and Virginia Catherine Gregory (Owens).

After graduating high school, John joined the United States Army where he received additional education of an Associated Degree and he went on to be an Army Ranger.

He married Donna Sue Gregory (Parrish) in October of 2004 and they were married for 13 years until her passing in August of 2018.

When John was working, he loved to be down at the Rodeo helping wherever he was needed. In his free time, he had a great passion for singing, especially at church. Growing up, he played football, baseball and basketball. This athleticism was passed onto his son Nathan, who now plays football at Joshua High School. If John wasn’t being Nathan’s number one fan at his games, they would always find time to watch a football game together on tv.

John was a truly caring spirit who never met a stranger. He always kept in contact with his friends, and he never forgot a face. He had a smile that could light up a room and he is going to be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Gregory; father, Tony Gene Gregory; grandparents and five uncles.

John is survived by his son, Nathan Leo Gregory; mother, Virginia “Cathy” Gregory; sister, Cathy Lynn Harrison and her husband, Dave; nephews, Anthony Harrison, Michael Harrison, Jason Harrison; sister-in-laws, Dianne, Ginger, Tammy and Karen; brother-in-law, Don Jr.; and numerous other extended family members, loving church family and friends.
