Darwin grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico and graduated from Las Cruces High School.
He went on to welding and mechanics school where he truly excelled. If he didn't have a tool or a
part for his car,he would craft one to fit his need. He was a true genius in making things work.

Darwin's 33-year career with Lockheed Martin began at the White Sands Missile Range in New
Mexico where he supported flight tests and upgrades on the Multiple Launch Rocket System. He
later moved to Texas to help manage the maintenance and testing of the fleet launchers in Dallas.
Additionally, he also managed the test support and integration labs. Darwin had a strong work
ethic, was willing to help anyone, and always had a smile.

Most people who knew Darwin, knew his hobby was dirt track racing. He found his passion for
car racing as a young child. He built his own race cars from the inside out. Driving his Mod-lite
race car (#54) always brought that unforgettable smile to his face. His racing career resulted in
many Wins and Championships.

Darwin and Linda were married in 2016. Darwin’s love for racing was only surpassed by his love for
Linda. It was evident to everyone else when he quickly had her name placed on the inside of his
beloved racecar, then later added to the outside as well.

Darwin strictly adhered to his principles: honor God, be kind, work hard, be dependable, have a
good attitude and go the extra mile. Darwin was a kindhearted person and a mentor to many.
You couldn’t miss the twinkle in his eye when telling a joke.He made friends easily and retained them
for life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Darwin was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Elton Hamilton; brother, Weldon Woodrow "Woody" Hamilton.
