James Delmer Hester, 87, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016.
Funeral: 11 am Tuesday, Aug. 23, at St. Paul Lutheran Church,1800 West Fwy, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 pm Monday, at Skyvue Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Lutheran World Relief, www.lwr.org.
James served in WWII in the first wave of occupation troops in Europe and as a photo journalist at the Nuremberg Trials. After returning home he worked as a Radiologist Technician, working in many hospitals, and then as a long distance trucker for Mary Kay Cosmetics. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sisters.
Survivors: Wife, Kathy Hester; children, Marvin Hester and wife Jean, Deborah Knight and husband George, Scott Hester and wife Sharon; Carol Hester, True Hardt, and Bill Bernhardt and wife Maryann; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
