Larry Weldon Hudson, 72, went to meet his champion, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, at South Oaks Baptist Church, 5925 U.S. Hwy 287, Arlington, 76017. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. at Skyvue Funeral Home.
Larry's life was full of love for his church, his family, his friends, his fellow teammates at Angelo State University and Lake View High School in San Angelo and the students and athletes he coached all over Texas. His talents were in athletics; however, he excelled in encouraging others to be the best they could be. He loved fishing with the people he loved, was fun-loving to the end, took pride in his whole family and cherished his time outdoors in God's creation, camping. He had many honors but would not want them mentioned because his greatest honor would be... in heaven.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, J.B and Eloise Hudson; brothers, Bill and Paul Hudson; and in laws, E.T. and Inez Woodfin.
Survivors: Wife, Marsha Sue Hudson; daughters, Gina Dee Florence, Marshella Jo Davis and husband, Rich; son, Curtis Larry Hudson and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Meagan, Hayden, Hannah, Ben, Kennedy, Hudson, Mackenzie, Cole, Ashton and Kennedy; nephews, Joe Dan and Scott Hudson; niece, Jeanie Bolin; brother-in-law, James Woodfin and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Joyce Blassingame and husband, Ed.
