In lieu of flowers, please send donations "In Memory of Charles Wesley Hunt" to LifeGift 1701 River Run, Suite 300, Fort Worth, TX 76107. The family would like to thank Harris Methodist Hospital & LifeGift for their care and dedication to Wes and his family.
Wes was born on 10/17/1967 in Torrance, CA to Paul LaVerne Hunt and Alice Romonia Day-Hunt. He grew up in Stratford, CA. He enjoyed playing the drums and had amazing rhythm. He graduated from Lemoore High School in Lemoore, CA in 1986. One of his fondest memories and greatest accomplishments was driving the farm equipment with his best-friend Albert Homan, who was actually more like a brother to him, at G&G Spreading in Lemoore, CA.
After moving to Rendon, TX in 1994 Wes began working for Shell Gas Station in Rendon. In 2013 he also began working for Lowe's in Burleson. Over the years, he welcomed many new friends into his life. His family and friends remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, and loving individual that would go out of his way to help others in any way he could.
Wes was a generous, humorous, and dedicated individual who loved his family and coworkers as if they were family as well. He gave the best teddy-bear hugs ever. He really enjoyed good mexican food, his favorite color was red, he loved digging in flower garden dirt and was particularly fond of white and yellow daisies. A great honor was bestowed upon him on the day of his passing; Harris Methodist Hospital waved their flags at half-staff in Wes' honor for he was a LifeGift Living Donor. His legacy will live on in the lives of many others that he was able help as a result of his benevolent and admirable decision. He didn't even realize the immense comfort that his choice, along with our knowledge that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, would bring to his family. It goes without saying that he will be missed so much by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Alice Hunt of Stratford, CA; Maternal Grandparents Lawrence Irvin & Mary Elizabeth Day of Rendon, TX; Paternal Grandparents Carl H. & Elta B. Hunt of Parsons, KS; Uncle Larry, Lawrence Day of Rendon TX; Uncle Gene, Harold Eugene Day of Long Beach, CA; Nephews Daniel Lawrence Pettus of Brookings, OR; Antonio Lawrence Balestracci of Arlington, TX; Michael David Espinosa-Hunt of Lemoore, CA.
