Irene Williams McNeil, beloved wife, caring mother, and outstanding individual, passed away on September 20, 2023, in Burleson, Texas. She was born on August 9, 1944, in Crystal City, Texas. Irene lived a remarkable life filled with achievements, compassion, and a passion for helping others.

In her professional career, Irene excelled as a beautician. Not only did she possess immense talent in this field, but she also shared her knowledge and expertise with others. Irene worked at Texas Health Huguley Hospital, where she inventoried sell items and taught cashiers how to keep items on hand. Additionally, she supervised and trained individuals in preparing up to 3,500 Communion Cups every month for various churches over a span of twenty plus years. Her dedication earned her the respect of all who had the pleasure of working with her. In her later years, Irene retired from Tarrant County as a secretary.

Aside from her career accomplishments, Irene was actively involved in her community and church. She served as the secretary of a Ladies Sunday School class that attracted up to 40 attendees every Sunday. Irene also volunteered as an usher during church services and diligently tracked church money semi-monthly. Irene's proudest accomplishments extended beyond her professional life. She had the opportunity to live in Italy for four years and developed a love for travel that took her on fifteen cruises to different parts of the world. Exploring new cultures and experiencing the wonders of the world brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Irene's impact on the lives of those around her extended to her family and friends. She was the loving wife of Raymond McNeil for sixty years, a testament to their deep love and commitment. Together, they raised a son, Craig A. McNeil, who undoubtedly inherited Irene's remarkable qualities and values. She will be met at heaven's gates by her son, Rodney R. McNeil, mother and father, Cleora and Curlie Williams, siblings, Verda Mae Houston, Willie B. Houston, Clara Mae Fletcher, Daisy Lou McNeil, C.J. Houston, and Linda Louise Williams.
