James Hayden Carlisle

Jimmy "Iceman" Carlisle, beloved father, friend and leader, passed away on December 3, 2024 with his family at his side. Born to the late James W. Hatter and Nancy Hatter on September 14, 1971, Jimmy was the youngest of 4 children.

As a proud captain of the 1989 Gophers football team, Jimmy's leadership, determination and passion left a lasting impact on his teammates and the community. To his teammates, he was more than a captain...he was a brother. Jimmy's selflessness shone through in countless ways, like loading up his truck after practice to ensure teammates without a ride, or those facing a long wait got home safely. His kindness and dedication forged unbreakable bonds and set an example of true camaraderie.
Jimmy's life was defined by his deep love for football, camping, lake trips, shooting guns with his boys, and his unwavering devotion to his family. Known as "Iceman" for his cool demeanor under pressure, he was a man of incredible strength, resilience and heart. Above all, Jimmy was a devoted father to his two sons, Hayden and Hunter who were his greatest pride and joy. He celebrated their accomplishments and cherished every moment he spent with them. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, leadership and love will live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. 


Jimmy is survived by his mother, Nancy Hatter of Mansfield TX, beloved sons Hayden and Hunter Carlisle of Grand Prairie TX, sister, Eleanor Murphy and husband Mike of Mansfield TX, brother, Henry Hatter of Arlington TX, sister, Loretta Messinger and husband Thomas of Arlington TX. He is also survived by his nephews, Christopher Hatter and Brandon Murphy, and nieces Crystal Murphy, Katherine Messinger and Elizabeth Messinger. He is preceded in death by his father, the late James W. Hatter.
