James Edward Favors II

James Edward Favors II has peacefully passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 52.

James was born on January 25, 1972, in Houston Texas. He grew up in Lumberton, Texas. He met Tina, his future wife, in the second grade, all because they were in the same classroom with the same teacher. He graduated high school in May of 1990, and shortly after they started dating. James and Tina got married on December 31, 1994. They shared 34½ years together, with almost 30 of those years being married.

James joined the US Navy in July of 1990. He proudly served for 20 years, having a successful Naval career as an Aviation Electronic Technician. He started with boot camp in San Diego, then A-school in Millington, Tennessee. Next, he went back to San Diego to Miramar Naval Air Station. He then was stationed at Barbers Point Naval Air Station in Hawaii, having his first son being born in February of 1999 while he was stationed here. They then moved to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington, where his daughter was born in June of 2003. Finally, he was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California, where he retired from in 2010.

After retiring from the Navy, James worked for Aerotek for six years. He then worked for Texas Instruments until his passing. James loved bowling, building with Legos, collecting coins, The Transformers, and watching movies. 

James is preceded in death by his father James Favors I.

Those left to cherish James, and his memory are his wife of almost 30 years, Tina Favors; his son, Jef Favors; his daughter, Brooke Favors; his mother, Zoe Favors-Barker; his in-laws, Barbara Thomas, and Jack and Carolyn Cook (his bonus mother-in-law); his sister, Zoê and Kenny Troxell; his sister-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Suydam; his brothers-in-law, David and Monica Cook, Robert and Heather Cook; his nieces Ashley and Scott Fancher, Allison and Nate Schneck, Robin Moreno, Meaghan Woodruff, Katlin Cook, Paige Cook, Zoë Troxell, Sasha Troxell, Marissa Troxell, and Evelyn Troxell; his nephew, Justin and Krystal Moreno; his best friend and an honorary family member, Marty Faught; along with countless other family members, friends, and loved ones.
