James Coleman Hanson

James Coleman Hanson went to be with our Lord and Savior in his home on Monday, April 7th, 2025.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, April 18, 2025 at Skyvue Funeral Home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Skyvue Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rendon Cemetery, Rendon, TX.

 James was Born on March 20th, 1944, to Ruth M. Carter and Weldon Odell Hanson, and marred his beloved wife Billie on June 8th 1963. He was a devoted member of Jesus Name Church in Rendon, TX and also attended His House of Prayer in Forest Hill, TX. James was an independent contractor, primarily selling and trading farm animals. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Weldon Hanson; sisters, Tina, Annie, Vivian and Mary; brother, Kenneth; and numerous family.

Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Billie Hanson; sons, Weldon Lee Hanson and wife Tamera Lyon-Hanson, and James E. Hanson; brothers, George and  Odell; He was a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren: Anthony and his wife Amanda, Jacob and Justin, Taylor and her husband Da’Shawn, and Kirstin and her husband TyJuan) James was also a great-grandfather to five: Aiden Isaiah, Carter Dean, Carly Alice, Jaden Lee, and Tyger James, and had numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored. He will be deeply missed and honored by all who knew him.
