James "Jim" Lee Powell

James "Jim" Lee Powell teed off for the final time on August 29, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 77.

Jim was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, on April 30, 1947, to Naomi Hubbard and Archie Powell. He married Paula Dearing in Mansfield, Texas, on June 6, 1992. Jim was a glazier, carpenter, and farrier. He loved golfing with his friends and fishing with his Bass Club members.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 32 years, his children, his brother and sisters, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. He was deeply loved by his family, and he will be greatly missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Naomi and Archie; his brother, Bradley.

Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula Powell; his daughters, Jamie and Jana Powell; his son and stepsons, James Powell, Jeff and Briana Griffith, Danny and Lucrecia Griffith; his sisters, Sue Nesbitt and Brenda Golden; his brother, Melvin Powell; his grandchildren, Simon, Ryann, Jaiden, Ethan, Emma and Reid, Myranda and Avril, Lauren, and Miles; his great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kinley, and Kayce; his golfing friends and Bass Club members.
