Janie H. Rodriguez

Janie H. Rodriguez, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

On December 5, 1939, Janie was born in Delvalle, Texas, to Julian Hernandez and Mercedes Rodriguez Hernandez.

Janie married Pete Rodriguez December of 1977 in Austin, Texas. Although she was retired, she was always very active in her community. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe in Austin and St. Jude in Mansfield. Through the years she could be found playing Bingo, playing slots in the casino, or getting comfortable with a word search.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Mercedes Hernandez; sister, Frances Hernandez and Maria Elena " Nan" Hernandez; brother, Frank Hernandez.

Janie is survived by her husband, Pete Rodriguez; daughter, Roxanne Anguiano; son, Fernando Hernandez; sisters, Virginia Guzman, Yolanda and husband Manuel Lara, Lupe Tellez, Emily Hernandez; brother, Julio Hernandez and wife Julia; grandchildren, Kristi and Diamond Martinez, Anthony and Lindsey Anguiano; great grandchildren, Gabriella Anguiano, Aiden Anguiano, Mia Martinez, Emma Martinez; nieces, Daisy and Rhonda, Lisa, Veronica, Krystal, Melissa, Michelle; nephew, Chris, Mark, Jason, Michael, Richard; and other special family, 14 great nieces and nephews, 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
