Jason Grant Welch has passed away on November 30, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 51.
Jason was born on August 12, 1973, at the Elllsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, to Noble Edwin Welch and Betty Jane Stell. He married Melanie Beth Cooper on November 24, 2023 at the Beth-El Congregation in Fort Worth. Jason enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with his family, watching football, and playing Xbox with his son.
Jason proudly served in the United States Navy from 1994 - 1996.
We would like to truly thank all of our family and friends while navigating this unfortunate and catastrophic loss. Jason always lit up the room he entered and cared deeply for his family while making sure to put a smile on everyone's face.
Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Betty Welch.
Jason is survived by his spouse, Melanie Cooper; his son, Braydon Welch; his sister, Shannon and Chris Damron; his brothers, Noble Welch, Jr. and Adam Welch; his nieces and nephews, Samantha Damron, Sierra Smith, Jacob Welch, Christopher Damron, and Ian Damron. Jason is also survived by his good friends, Patience Johnson and Keith Riddle; his mother and father-in-law, Debbie and Scott Smith, as well as Mark and Seme Cooper; his aunts, Linda Stell and Ann Stell; his uncle, Melton Stell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Melanie to help with funeral expenses, or to any veteran associated organization of your choosing.
