Joshua J. Jefferson, 37, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

Memorial Visitation: 4:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Skyvue Funeral Home.

Service: 10:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Crossroads Christian Church, Grand Prairie.

Josh was born on October 18, 1982 in Odessa, Texas. He attended Fort Stockton Highschool, in Fort Stockton, Texas. He then furthered his education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Josh began his career as a patrol officer for Arlington Police Department in 2007, before eventually moving to the Grand Prairie Police Department in 2016. During his career as an officer, Josh earned his Master Peace Officer license. He served in many capacities such as being a part of the honor guard, an instructor, a field training officer, and served as a member of the Police Association Board. He also helped with and attended many charity events. He served the citizens with pride and had a great love for the city and communities that he worked for.

Josh was many things to many people, but above all else he enjoyed being a father, husband, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his cowboy boots, cowboy hat, a good backroad, and his truck. His contagious smile and caring spirit will be deeply missed.

Josh is survived by his loving wife, Amber Jefferson; daughter, Adrianna Boese; mother, Marie Jefferson; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
