Jimmie Eva Johnson

Jimmie Eva Johnson has gone to be with her Lord on September 11, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 80.

Jimmie was born on October 16, 1943, in Cleburne, Texas, to William James "Jim" Liggins and Eva Fisher. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Cleburne, Texas. She married Sam Johnson, Jr. in 1975, and she worked as a home day care provider. Jimmie enjoyed many hobbies, including cooking, decorating, crafts, and gardening. 

The family would like to take the opportunity to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation for your thoughts, prayers, and comforting expressions of sympathy. We ask that you continue to pray with us, and for us in the days to come. 

Those who have passed before Jimmie, and are there to greet her are her spouse, Sam Johnson, Jr.; her parents, Jim and Eva Liggins; her brothers, Freddie Reed, William "Platter" Liggins, and Felton Liggins; her nephew, Deacon David Liggins; her mother-in-law, Gertrude "Dedi" Tanksley; her sister-in-law, Erma Gean Price; her brother-in-law, Charles Ray Johnson.

Those left to cherish Jimmie's memory are her daughters, Sonia Kincade and Anethia Farmer (Leon D. Farmer); her son, Sam Cobb (Genicia Cobb); her sister, Billie R. Reed; her grandchildren, Duke Kincade, Jr. (Latanya Kincade), Ta'Neil Jackson, Cameron Farmer, Jaztin Cobb, Corey Farmer, Caden Farmer; her great-grandchildren, Britney Ketchens, Darrin Jackson, Kennedy Johnson, Kaylee Kincade, Katelyn Kincade, and Keagan Lacy; her nieces and nephews, Rachael Liggins, Brenda (Price) Miles, William "Butch" Liggins, Michael Liggins, Kenneth Liggins, Roderick Liggins, Edward Reed, Brandy "Spud" Price, Lemyel Price, and James Price; she also leaves to cherish her memories a host of other relatives and friends.

Jimmie Eva Johnson will be truly missed, but never forgotten. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a private person, who enjoyed special occasions with her family. She enjoyed cooking and preparing family gatherings. She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. They each had a special place in her heart.
