Joan Cos-Y-Leon

Joan Cos-Y-Leon, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2023 at the age of 65.

She was born on September 30, 1957 in New Jersey to George H. Menger and Carolyn McKenty Menger.

One of Joan’s proudest accomplishments was her family. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and spending time with them meant the world to her. She also was quite the animal lover. The house was always full of pets, and lots of love for them. In her free time, Joan enjoyed going on runs, reading, crocheting, and cooking. Her loving smile and caring spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Carolyn Menger.

Those left behind to cherish Joan’s memory are her loving husband of 37 years, Andrew Joseph Cos-Y-Leon; daughter, Catherine Ann Hirn (Christopher Hirn); sister, Barbara DeBerry (Ken DeBerry); brother, Stephan Menger (Kerry Ann Menger); grandchildren, Tarron Hirn and Nalani Hirn; nephews, Jared, Michael and Eric Cos-Y-Leon; numerous other extended family members and loving friends.
