Joel Lee Allen

Joel Lee Allen of North Richland Hills, Texas was called home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2024, at the age of 67.

Joel was born on October 25, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas to Edsel Audrey Allen and Peggy Jean Allen-Franklin (Scott). He married Susan Balinda Allen (France) in Fort Worth, Texas on April 11, 2020. He graduated from Tremble Tech High School in Fort Worth. Joel worked for ARI Fleet, as a mechanic at Huffines Dodge and was a Master Mechanic at Prestonwood Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge. 

He found comfort in his Lord by attending Southcliff Baptist Church. Joel enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren, working on cars, collecting guns and taking mini-vacations.

Joel was preceded in death by his father, Edsel Allen; brother, Eddie Allen; stepfather, Alfred Franklin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Balinda Allen; daughters, Stacey Betts and husband Kelly Betts, Katherine Allen; stepdaughters, Junita Hamilton and husband James Hamilton, Sandy Blackman and husband Steve Blackman, Amanda Marshall and husband Michael Marshall; son, Jonathan Wiley; stepsons, James Bennett Jr. and wife Chloe Bennett, Argus Bennett, Anthony Hoefelmeyer, James Hoefelmeyer; mother, Peggy Jean Allen-Franklin; sister, Jeannie Summers; brothers, Stephen Allen and Clifford Franklin; 26 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other special family and friends including William and Talese Stone.
