Kelly Lea Walker

April 5, 1965 — December 12, 2024

On December 12, 2024, Kelly Lea Walker passed away surrounded by her loving family following a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.

Kelly (59) was born on April 5, 1965, in Odessa, Texas, to Fred Park and Barbara Bushong Park.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Park of Big Spring, Texas, maternal grandparents Alvin and Lurlene Bushong and paternal grandparents Henry and Estill Park.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Park of Fort Worth, her rock and her hero. Barbara Park, the most amazing woman she ever knew. Kelly is also survived by her beautiful daughters, Jesi Wilkey of Big Spring, Texas, and Lynzi Rodriquez and husband Peyton Rodriquez of Coahoma, Texas. She is also survived by two brothers, Douglas Wayne Park and his wife of 31 years, Cynthia, of Cedar Park, Texas and Kyle Park, of Cache, Oklahoma. And there are four beloved grandsons, L.J. Rodriquez, Lux Rodriquez, Wez Wilkey and Johnny Wilkey.

Kelly’s battle with cancer began November 2004. Dr. David Watkins and the excellent staff at Allison Cancer Center, with the unquestionable grace of God, gave her 20 years of life. She prayed for two things when she was diagnosed, and God answered that prayer with abundance. She asked to see her daughters grow up and to meet her grandchildren. The cancer returned in March 2023. While she fought as hard as she could, she left this world knowing that she had been abundantly blessed in this life on earth and leaving this world peacefully with unquestionable faith in God’s promise to her as to what awaits her on the other side.

To those who will grieve her loss she asks that you remember her fondly, but don’t waste too much time in grief. She loved you all and asks that you all remember - Kindness is easy - It takes work to be angry. Be nice to each other!
