Johnny Kubota

April 15, 1929 — February 16, 2015

OBITUARY

MANSFIELD, TEXAS

Johnny Masao Kubota, 85, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at his home in Mansfield.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday at Skyvue on February 20,2015 at 7 O'clock p.m. in the Skyvue Victoria Chapel. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, a monetary donation can be made in memory of Johnny Kubota to Living Word Outreach, 107 N. First Ave., Mansfield, Tx. 76063. Johnny was born April 15, 1929 in Fukuoka, Japan, and his life stretched all the way from the Land of the Rising Sun to the Land of Stars and Stripes where he has lived since 1950, and for most of his years lived in the Fort Worth - Mansfield area. He not only made a commitment and was naturalized as a citizen in his adopted country but in 1956 he also made a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ who directed his decisions and to that commitment he remained faithful all of his life. He was a servant of servants, taking care of his family and others with intensity to make sure things were going good for them. He was meticulous in what he did, even being accused from time to time of measuring the height of the grass that he groomed to see if it was all the same size. After graduating from Texas Wesleyan College, he worked for Denke CPA, P.C., The Fort Worth Club, A & A International and Radio Shack until he retired. The thing he would want you to know is this: if you are reading this tribute and you knew him, Johnny loved you. Even as the physical difficulties increased, simultaneously so did his love for family and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister in Japan and his son, Mark Kubota.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Vanda Kubota, and daughter, Madonna Stewart, and husband, John. Grandchildren: Leslie Sanders, Nick Kubota, Nathan Stewart and Noah Stewart, Brandon Sanders and a great-grandchild, Carter Sanders, and many nieces and nephews. In Japan, he is survived by his sister, Shegeko Taguchi, and several nieces and nephews. In Colorado, he has an Aunt Tayeko Namura and her children and families. Yoshiko Hashimoto, who was an international student from Tokyo, Japan, became like an adopted daughter after she lived with us for a year.
