Remembering the Life of Ms. Tillie B. Lee
On March 23, 1933, Tillie B. Lacy was born to Van and Fannie Lacy in San Augustine, Texas.
Tillie attended Norwood Schools. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and later upon marrying and moving to Fort Worth, Texas was a faithful member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Rev. Nobles and later the Rev. J.D. Campbell in her active years.
Tillie was an avid gardener and she loved to fish but she is probably best remembered for her cooking abilities cooking "from scratch." She was known for her pound cake, German chocolate cake and sweet potato pies.
On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the Lord called her to her heavenly home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Fannie Lacy, her only sister, Elnora Mackey and brothers, Robert, Vel, JRV, Richard and Earl.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, James Lee (Sara), Larry Lee (Barbara), Liz Reed (Nick) and Fannie Halcomb; Brothers, Willie Lacy, O.V. Lacy and T.C. Lacy; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Vitas Hospice.
